Banks in Brazil

In this post, we wish to introduce you some information about banks in Brazil.

We shall start with Banco do Brasil, the oldest and most prominent financial institution in Brazil with the largest   branch network. Their online services are not that strong as other European or American institutions, but we can assure you that is a reliable bank.

Now, a more local bank but with strong influence in the Brazilian Economy is Banco de Brasília operated by the government of the Brazilian Federal District. They have a wide range of services and is also a recommended financial institution.  According the latest estimations,  Banco de Brasília  operates 100 bank brances and 689 ATMs in Federal District, and in states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Goiás.

Of course in Brazil there are several other banks, mainly with local interest. For more information please check here: Brazilian Banks

Of course in Brazil, there are also International Financial Institutions. Some of them are:

AMB AMRO Real; the former Banco Real, it was bought by Dutch ABN AMRO group a few years ago.

Santander- Banespa : the Brazilian branch of the Spanish Santander financial group.

and of course, our favourite banking institution: HSBC ; with a large network in Brazil.

We hope that you found these introductory notes useful.
